Blamed for the Debacle in Iraq?

advertisement

Republican framing of the inevitable problems inherent in the Bush/McCain occupation of Iraq is already taking place. The groundwork is being laid for after the election of a Democratic administration to blame Progressives for Bush's failure. The time to preenpt that false frame is now.

From the article:

Now we have another betrayal, the BIG LIE – that the so-called 'surge' is working. With this Big Lie in place, occupation hawks will be especially well-positioned to blame the inevitable rise in violence and discord in Iraq on those patriotic Americans who are working to end the occupation. It has been accompanied by a key deception-by-omission where the 30 year oil contracts to U.S. companies and construction of permanent military bases are ignored by politicians and the mainstream media.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

This is the part that really gets me where it hurts. Why is the press ignoring these things? I don't care if they are owned by big money, they are digging their own graves. I have ceased reading newspapers because they are almost entirely slanted in favor of the big money interests, including those interested in keeping this war going "another 100 years"!

Seems to me that this article should include reference to the criminal neo-con doctrine of using US military force to remove unfriendly governments.

One does not need to go far to see the true of this article
